Have you ever settled for Cool Whip on top of a cream pie just because you’re afraid of making meringue? This Never Fail Meringue solves your problems and creates an impressive-looking pie for your holiday table!

1 T cornstarch
2 T sugar
1/2 c water
3 egg whites
6 T sugar
dash salt

Cook cornstarch, sugar, and water until clear and thickened. Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff. Slowly pour in cooked mixture while beating, and add sugar. Place dollops onto pie, spread to edges, and bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes until begins to brown. This worked the first time I ever made meringue!
