Spinach Artichoke Dip

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip
1 8-oz package light cream cheese

1/4 c mayonnaise (do not use Miracle Whip)
1/2 c Romano cheese, grated

1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1/2 t basil (dry) or 1 T fresh
1/4 t salt
spinach artichoke dip on a cracker

Allow cream cheese to come to room temp, and cream together all ingredients.


Add:
1 14-oz can artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
1/2 c spinach, (frozen, steamed and chopped)

Mix until well blended. Spray a pie plate, shallow dish, or small serving bowl and pour in dip; top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until the top is browned.

Serve with toasted bread, fresh bread cubes, or crackers.
