This is a Thanksgiving and Christmas staple at meals shared by my mom’s side of the family.  The recipe came from my Great Grandma Oltman, who passed away in 1980.

cranberry fluff salad

Grind, grate, or otherwise chop:
1 package fresh cranberries
4 apples, unpeeled

add:
13-oz can crushed pineapple (drained)
dash salt
1/2 c sugar

The result is a tangy/sweet relish that can be refrigerated or frozen until you’re ready to use it.

Before serving, add:
3-4 c mini marshmallows
8 oz whipped topping
