This layered salad came from my Momma, ages and ages ago. A new post with the recipe is here. But this one stays for posterity.
lettuce
celery & green pepper
frozen peas or chopped fresh snap peas
onion (purple or green)
Miracle Whip
crisp bacon pieces
grated cheese
Wash and chop all veggies. Layer in 9×13 pan, casserole dish, or deep bowl. Chill several hours and toss before serving.

I've never done this with snap peas…what a good idea. And I keep mine in layers (maybe I'll make this one for Friday night's grill out at a friend's house…I'm supposed to bring something).

Pam – I made this over the weekend and used your sweet salad dressing recipe that you use for broccoli salad or pasta salad – just spread a small amount on the dressing layer. Oh, yum!
